Firstly, floral botanicals are gently distilled in high-grade grain alcohol to produce a sweet, floral spirit. The gin part of the blend is distilled separately using the Maidstone Gin blend of botanicals. The two distilled spirits are then blended together to produce a floral gin.
The gin is sweet and fruity. The sweetness comes directly from the sweet botanicals which are added to the still, namely marshmallow root and meadowsweet in addition to the flower blossoms and fruit pieces which have been distilled. This sweetness, along with the bright flavours from the Maidstone Gin give this expression a lovely light, summery flavour.
Botanicals: Juniper, coriander seed, angelica, cardamon, meadowsweet, marshmallow root, orris root, cassia bark, liquorice root, orange peel, marigold, chamomile, rose, cornflower, blackberry leaf, apple, strawberry & raspberry. The gin is then infused with rosehip & hibiscus.
